What is Responsible Gaming?

Responsible Gaming is a set of actions adopted by lottery and betting administrators with the aim of:

Prohibiting minors under 18 from placing bets;

Providing guidance on the prevention and treatment of gambling-related harm.

 

How does Loteria Bambu practice Responsible Gaming?

Guiding bettors who may have any undesirable behavior in relation to gambling (compulsion) to seek health programs;
Informing that lottery products are exclusively intended for adults (according to Law No. 8,069, of July 13, 1990, Art. 81, Clause VI);
Providing the public with safe and reliable lottery bets.
Providing consumer protection information on winning odds and warnings that excessive gambling can cause harm.
Informing that the main purpose of lotteries is to raise funds to contribute to social well-being.
Providing advertising without false promises and without using misleading content.

 

Main characteristics of a Responsible Gambler

Has information about the real odds of winning;
Enjoys the experience of betting under low-risk conditions;
Gambles for fun, not just to make money or avoid problems;
Does not try to chase or recover losses;
Does not borrow money to gamble;
Places bets exclusively within his/her financial means;
Does not allow gambling to affect relationships with family and friends;
His gambling habit is known to friends and relatives;
Does not allocate time and/or money that should be used for other purposes than lotteries;
Never uses money intended for monthly expenses, household income or food.
Understands that betting on lotteries is a form of entertainment and a way of helping the government’s social causes.
